NWA T-Shirt goes on Holiday

Well had an amazing holiday in Kauai and off course the NWA T-Shirt was displayed at any opportunity!

While in Kauai I proably saw the crappest motorcycle group (well after the NWA that is). Kauai is a small island and has one major road that goes around about 2/3's of the island. The other 1/3rd is the Napali coast in totally unroadworthy. SO one day we drove out and coming the other way was a group of your typical Harley riders who thought they looked cool (if leather chaps can do that for you), handlebar moustaches, etc, you know the look. I could just imagine every Sunday them starting at one end of the island riding in a 'Pack' for 60 miles and then saying "Okay Frank same again next week" Gorgeous island just not the place for the open road!

Enfield Bullet 350

I named her my beautiful Carmen (cos she was the 'Electra' model). Got slated like f**k from Bullet officionado's for getting electronic ignition, but loved riding past the cheap skate bastards as they fiddled with their old fashioned points by the side of the road. Also I got double the mileage out of her, so she paid for herself after 5,000 km in India. Sold her to one Mr. Greg New who recently took her over the highest motorable road in the world - to Laddak in northen India.

Honda C50

Took ownership of the hand me down family scooter on my 16th birthday, used for going to school. racing other 50cc riders... and occasional scrambling. semi automatic, if you revved her up in neutral then kicked her down into first she'd wheelie from standstill. Finally sold on to George Churchill about 15 years later. Goddam bulletproof...

Kawasaki KE175

first own bike. Parents wouldn't let me have one so I waited until they went out for the day and rang someone from Exchange and Mart to deliver it. Cost £100 of pocket money. Seat held on with baling twine, knobble rear tryre, large bolt for a footpeg, no lights, no keys, broken throttle cable that would stick on full throttle, so you'd have to reach down and pull off the spark plug cover as you rocketted out of control. . used to wear a skateboard helmet , gardening gloves and wellie boots. and head all over the Berkshire woods. MMM hooning across StokeRow wreck with 10 lit fags in my mouth, stamping on the rear brake and drawing a trench of mud down the whole length of the cricket pitch... Kept her for about 6 years, never spent a penny on maintenance, finally selling on after many adventures/miles/crashes for £100.
